I don't regret buying it, but it wouldn't be my first choice for buying it for someone else. It's an okay toy, but it doesn't keep my son's attention for very long.
What gives. This is a great toy for those babies that are on the verge of crawing and having some tummy time, they can reach out and swat at the keys. However I am surprised to see it list for almost [.]. on amazon when I can get it at walmart for [.].
the few notes this thing makes over and over and over will have you crawling up the wall real quick.
I would give it a five, but the edge along the back of the toy is MUCH SHARPER than I would like. Needless to say the boys don't get a lot of time with this toy.
A little bit of rounding that edge or using a softer plastic for the back would take care of this concern. We have lots of other FP items, in the 40 years I can remember dealing with FP I don't remember a safety concern with appropriate use with any other toy.
My twin 1 year old grandsons like this toy a lot. I'm used to FP toys to be safe without having to have nonstop view of what the boys are doing, this one if I take my eye off it for a few seconds they have it upside down exposing that sharp edge.
I hope FP will improve this so check it out if you are in the market for such a toy. The colors intrigue them, the means to make music is simple with the spinning the wheel, the sound volume is not overwhelming (thank you on that one Fisher-Price).
If struck hard enough would leave a nasty bruise, I fear it could even cause a cut if in a boney area like the forehead.
The USPS is SLOW. I wish Amazon had put the age groups that this was intended for. This is actually for a 3 month old and I was looking for 6+ months. It took 8 days to come from Phil. Pa to Dover,De (about 120 miles).
